George Wallace Review
My parents are visiting from Canada. They seem to visit about 3-4 times a year. I have 2 young daughters and another on the way. I believe my parents come to Vegas to see their grandchildren, not to see me. :-)
They arrived on Friday evening and we took it easy on Saturday. After you live in Las Vegas for a while, the appeal of going down to the strip is low on the to-do list. My parents have been here plenty of times and when they visit, we might go to the strip once during their stay, but that would be about it. The rest of the time, we hang out at my house.
Anyways, my public relations firm that represent me, also represent George Wallace. I have worked at an event with George last year and got to know him a bit. He is a very kind man and a class act. He is one of my favorite people in this town because he does not carry the common arrogance that big-shot entertainers get. George and I have bumped into each other at several media events, and he has continued to offer to come and see his show. So, last night I did.
PR Plus set up the tickets for me, and off we went. (NO ! Don't contact me to get you tickets, you cheap skates! haha)
My wife Joanna, my parents and I, went to George Wallace. Mosaic was an accapella music act that opened the show. They had BIG sound, and performed very well. Great addition to the show. George came out on stage and he is a big man, but has even a larger stage presence. He is very quick, witty, and very funny. I enjoyed the material he presented, and it was very appropriate when you are sitting with your parents. :-)
I like off-color comedy but the situation has to be right of course. George was non-offensive and my parents enjoyed themselves immensely. Great show, great fun, and I would recommend you to check it out.
