OSAID Conference. "I am SO sleepy"
This past weekend was absolutely crazy. My hypnosis school, the International Institute of Hypnosis (http://www.thehypnosisschool.com) had our Hypnosis 101 class. My business partner John Zulli taught this class as I left Vegas to attend the OSAID conference in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The conference in Toronto was for Students Against Impaired Driving. As most of you know from following my career, I was hit by a drunk driving and was nearly killed. I broke my back, the base of my skull, my eye socket, cracked my neck, and was leaking brain fluid out of my nose. Pretty scary stuff and I am lucky to be alive. Since the car crash, I have designed and created an alcohol awareness program mixed in with my stage hypnosis show. It is powerful, entertaining, emotional, and very inspirational.
I left Vegas on Friday and arrived in Toronto just past midnight that night. I rented a car, and drove to my hotel room. I sound checked at noon, did the show at 3pm, enjoyed the banquet and visited with old friends.
I had toured on the speaking circuit for a number of years, and seeing fellow presenters such as Matt Evans, Ted Swan, and Kevin Brooks was a blast. I also was able to visit with student advisors that I had developed relationships with in the past. It was nice to catch up again.
This morning, I had to wake up at 3:30am to get ready to go the airport for a flight first thing this morning. I barely slept. Ugh. So, cleared customs and immigration, and they are always so friendly, and then caught a flight to Chicago. Raining and storming in Chicago, it was a FUN ride leaving there. Wow. And as the song says, "Hey Baby, let's go to Vegas."
Let me tell you something. I am cursed when it comes to flying. Why is it that at least on one leg of my flights, someone who weighs 400-500 lbs, always sits next to me. I am not trying to be rude here, but man, totally not fair when I pay for my whole seat, but can only use half of it, cause someone's huge ass is on mine!!
I know! I know!, she has "thyroid" problems. Whatever. Aparently those "tyroid" problems might be closely related to the Caramel Corn and Potato Chips she brought with her. Ok. I am being a dick. Sorry. Just venting.
Til next time.

Great to see you again Marc! I am still getting back on Wet Coast time.
Your show was amazing as usual, and I talked with the student who was 'Michael Flatly'... he was still in awe; and it was funny listening to him describe himself and his actions from his perspective on stage. (He had us all in tears we were laughing so hard!)
Some of you may not be aware, but Marc's tireless efforts with OSAID, (Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving), and his dedication to curbing impaired driving helped to make him an honorary member of the Board of Directors of OSAID. Congratualtions Marc, you so deserve it!
